What is a negotiator supposed to do when technically Israel and HAMAS want

the same thing: no two-state solution.

But Israel wants no Palestine, no HAMAS and HAMAS wants no Israel.

Do you wait for different leadership on both sides? Do you get surrounding Middle Eastern countries to exert pressure on both sides?

to avoid being tried to corruption, and Hamas leadership doesn't give a shit about the Gazans because they don't live there for the most part.

Say helloe, everyone, to continued war.

Warmonger netanyahu wants trump to win because he doesn't give a shit about the Gazans either.

If VP Harris wins, things could be quite different.

They pledged, again and again, to wipe Israel off the earth, a goal that is not achievable, not in their wettest fundamentalist dreams. And they don't give any more of a a shit about Palestinians than Trump and Netanyahu put together.

And, evidently, there is a whole bunch of Hamas supporters out there, taking every opportunity to get very vocal about not wanting Harris to win. They don't even know who they want to win, nor do they care.

appoint a nes Sec'y of State, and will that change things? who Knows?

And God forbid, if trump wins, will he walk away from peace talks all together, as if to say, "who cares."

It's just a tough go.

He is the last elected leader of the Palestinians and controls the PA and fatah. His term expired 15 years ago. It's not clear who his successor will be, though his sons don't seem interested.

Bibi will be out of office by the end of the year imo.

Eta - polls show that Israelis are overwhelmingly against the creation of, or discussion about a Palestinian state right now, a lot needs to happen before anyone really considers the option, regardless of who the PM is.

While I don't have much hope of a peaceful resolution, there is that.
Before October 7 the majority of Palestinians didn't like Hamas. Israel's actions probably changed that, but there still is a chance of peace talks.
