Geopolitics forces the EU to change (via turning right?) - Good Times Bad Times

It is clear that Europe's answers for its citizens are not working Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said in August 2023. This slogan could serve as a commentary on the many right-wing European parties that were successful in the June European Parliament elections. Meloni's party, The Brothers of Italy won a landslide victory improving its EU by as many as 14 seats, but the result in France was even more impactful where Marine LePen National Rally dominated the elections winning more than 30% of the vote and 30 seats overtaking Emanuel Macron's Renaissance Party.

In Germany the far right AfD confirmed its status as a second force after the Christian Democrats of the CDU/CSU. The Austrian FBO and the Polish Confederation also delivered very good results and so the headlines of the worlds liberal journals were dominated by slogans that Europe is turning right in some casing making a downright radical turn often accompanied by references to the old continent's fascist and Nazi history.

RW groups and in spreading their messages on the internet. As it is in the US the growth in RW groups and their activities is also underwritten by various ultra-rich oligarchs seeking to weaken democratic governments who regulate industry, the environment, and the movement of money, along with granting and policing the rights of individual citizens.

My point is these changes should not be seen as natural political adjustments springing from the local political culture. No more so than the MAGA movement is a naturally occurring expression of American culture and politics. Despite what the MSM would have us believe.

if they hasten the burning of our planet and
the 6th extinction- perhaps in retrospect
from the great beyond, they will wish they were 'woke'.
sadly, way too late~
