I’m in Yerevan on assignment, and I have witnessed the demonstrations which have been mostly peaceful. The Archbishop is really not taken seriously by the vast majority of the population, and the Prime Minister has enough votes in the Parliament to survive any impeachment attempts. It’s generally accepted that Russian active measures services are encouraging the protests, as Putin is upset that Armenia is lessening its traditional close relationship with Russia, and looking to the West for support.

It's also a bit of a surprise to find a DUer in Armenia to provide some perspective.
