Rode the trains around Belgium for a few days. I guess some Flemish are upset that the Francophones are smothering their language and culture, but they do a good job of keeping their cultural autonomy. Believe it or not, there is a small enclave of Germans around the city of Eupen and they seem pretty happy doing their thing amongst all the French speakers.
