There are so many reasons to go vegan. I started out for health about a year ago, but the longer I stayed on it, my compassion grew and now I avoid leather. Still buy a small bit of local honey from an organic farm, but I can't use a lot of it. My husband figures we should support organic beekeepers, because there are probably more bees because of them.

It's all a process, and approaching it with kindness and joy is making a long lasting change for me.

I cannot go vegan because I love dairy foods. Cheese, milk, butter, eggs and ice cream I cannot give up. But I feel that by avoiding meat that maybe one less animal will be killed.
