Dolphins, Spy in the Pod
Last edited Sat Feb 8, 2014, 10:46 PM - Edit history (1)
Episode 1 was on youtube in Jan 2014, but has been taken down as of Feb 2014. Not on Amazon yet.
Film-makers have infiltrated the ocean with secret cameras to capture dolphin behaviour in the wild as it has never been seen before. They enlisted a menagerie of creatures, such as a molluscs, sea turtle and squid, with hidden lenses to get up close and personal for a new BBC natural history programme.
Series director John Downer and producer Rob Pilley

Beringia
(4,570 posts)5. From what the makers said
Dolphins are among the most intelligent animals on the planet. They tested the robots with their sonar scans and clearly knew that they were not the real thing. But they were not spooked by them.
And once they had become accustomed to them they showed a healthy curiosity. This was vitally important in filming an animal that is always on the move.

(13,141 posts)6. aha.. they are more intelligent than humans, clearly.
if they had created a human robot and sent it among us
to spy on us, we would not show a healthy curiosity
methinks. we would test it with our sonar scans
capture it and start levying sanctions or start a
war.
