Secretary of Transportation Fun Fact

I heard from a report on BBC News that Pete Buttigieg enjoys the game Ticket to Ride.

Ticket to Ride is a cross-country train adventure in which players collect and play matching train cards to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America.

The longer the routes, the more points they earn.

Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets by connecting two distant cities, and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.

I wonder if the Mayor Pete likes bullet trains? Hyper Loop? nt mitch96 Dec 2020 #5
Good questions. I hope so. I'd settle for any speed just to have the option. littlemissmartypants Dec 2020 #6

I used to play the game Rail Baron with my rail regulator friends. Mayor Pete would be our 'boss,' if we were still working there.

and takes me back to my old job, as I/we 'regulated' the railroads named; had a lot to do with their mergers and acquisitions.

THANKS for the memories, lmsp! Sounds like I (and my old friends and colleagues) have some interests with Mayor Pete!

One used to be able to take a train from where I am, to the beach and I mean that literally. The track ended in the sand.
