Related: About this forumI'm contemplating asking Skinner to start a "College Parents" group
The idea would be to share struggles, thoughts, solutions, etc. on topics such as:
- Scholarships & Financial Aid
- The costs and benefits of early decision, regular decision, and early action
- College visits
- Places to find used texts
- 2 years @ Community college + 2 years @ 4-year school vs. 4 years @ 4-year school
- Grad schools
Any thoughts, criticisms, ideas, suggestions?

(28,394 posts)It would be very useful for DUers who are parents, as well as DUers who are back in school. We have quite a few non-traditional students here.
