Michele Rhee was here last night.

I'll understand if you don't want to watch the hour and a half video. She was asked what she would do if her daughter's teacher taped her mouth. Her answer was lame. It was a teeny tiny piece of tape, the kids asked for the tape and taped their own mouths, only one kid bled because his lips were chapped, and you know, this story has just been used to demonize Michelle and that doesn't help us reform education.

And she followed that answer with her snide smile.

I wanted to say "You actually GAVE kids tape when they asked for it, to tape their mouths?! Eight year old children?"

Sheesh, she really did suck as a teacher. Thank goodness she quit and became a superintendent.

Rhee, Phil Gramm, Rick Perry - they say the "right" words, but they say them so poorly.

Yet they prosper.

Always a surprise. At least Jim Baker is a Satan you can listen to.

She was asked bout the taping incident, why she demonizes teachers, why she promotes vouchers, why Students First won't work with teachers. Lots of hostile questions. The audience was largely teachers who are union members from the local traditional public school district.

And she gave one smug reply after another. Always followed by that sickening smile of hers.
