Lincoln University receives $20,000 from Google grant

JEFFERSON CITY — Lincoln University received a $20,000 grant as part of the Grow with Google Career Readiness Program, exclusively offered to Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The program is designed to offer students the skills they need to obtain internships and be successful in a career, not just a job.

Lincoln University’s Director of Career Services, Beth Jordan said the program provides students with foundational digital skills and instruction, as well as the ability to practice these skills.

She said even though the course is through Google, the university will still be able to play its role in helping their students find success as they take part in the program.
