Tomorrow Night in DC: Rick Smith Show's 2024 "Take Back the Lunchroom" initiative

Join us for an evening event in support of the Rick Smith Show's 2024 “Take Back the Lunchroom” initiative.

Date: July 25, 2023
Time: 7pm ET – 9pm ET
Location: CWA Headquarters, 501 3rd Street NW, Washington, DC 20001

The event will be hosted by labor advocate and esteemed radio & TV host Rick Smith. With 19 years on the air and 30 years as a proud Teamster, Rick is the only nationally syndicated labor voice in America, and one of the only left-leaning voices to crack the Talkers Magazine “Heavy Hundred” list of the 100 most influential on-air personalities.

Join us for food and drink and a frank discussion about how the right-wing media machine adversely affects the interests of America’s proud but too often struggling working class. With nearly two decades on the air speaking to and for America’s working families, Rick Smith has a unique perspective on how the lunchroom was lost, and more importantly, how it can be won back again.

This event will bring together members of the Congressional Labor Caucus, labor leaders, and progressive friends who share our commitment to advancing the rights and well-being of working families. It will serve as a platform to foster collaboration, strengthen networks, and raise funds to support the growth and reach of the Rick Smith Show.

The evening will also feature inspiring speeches by Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur and AFA-CWA President Sara Nelson, both renowned advocates for labor rights and longtime supporters of pro-worker voices and common-sense progressive policies.

To confirm your attendance, kindly RSVP to Christina Curran at ccurran@afacwa.org

Your commitment to advancing workers' rights is an inspiration, and your presence will truly make a difference. Together, we can build a stronger, more equitable future
for all.

In solidarity,
Taylor
