Striking Machinists at Boeing supplier schedule vote for new offer

No changes to current health benefits, a larger increase in pay from Spirit AeroSystems and no mandatory weekend overtime are part of a revised four-year contract offer striking Machinists will vote on Thursday.

Wichita, Kansas-based Spirit, which is the The Boeing Co.’s (NYSE: BA) largest supplier, makes a substantial portion of the Renton-built 737 Max.

The strike began early Saturday morning and is in its fourth day.

Contract details obtained by the Wichita Business Journal also include a $3,000 cash acceptance bonus if the contract is approved by membership Thursday.
