Stagehands Local 6, Decorators and Displaymen Local 39 picket Ironman Sound Industries
Downtown St. Louis – Stagehands (IATSE) Local 6 walked a picket in front of Union Station in St. Louis Nov. 30 against non-union Ironman Sound Industries for paying its workers below the area standards negotiated by Local 6 for the A-10 Women’s Soccer Championship program.
They were joined by members of Decorators & Displaymen (USW) Local 39.
The picket worked. Before the end of the day, an agreement was reached to hire members of Local 6 for the show and to remove equipment after the show.
Stagehands Local 6’s members provide trained and experienced craftsmen and technicians for the convention, exhibition, event and entertainment industries.
