(Euless, TX) - The Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), representing 27,000 Flight Attendants at American Airlines, fully supports President-elect Joe Biden’s nomination of Pete Buttigieg to lead the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). From his time in the military to his public service, Pete Buttigieg has been a trailblazer. We believe that he will provide the type of energetic leadership that the DOT will need in the coming years to update our transportation infrastructure.

A healthy aviation industry drives our nation’s economy and will play a significant role in worldwide vaccine distribution. Our air transportation system must be healthy, intact, and adequately staffed to rapidly move doses of the vaccine to all corners of the world.
