The Association of Professional Flight Attendants Proudly Endorses Joe Biden for POTUS
(Euless, TX) - Today, the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), representing the 27,000 American Airlines Flight Attendants, endorsed Joe Biden for President of the United States. The unanimous resolution by APFAs Executive Committee solidifies a commitment to the overall Labor movement.
"APFA's endorsement of Vice President Biden is a commitment to our overall goal of electing labor-friendly, pro-Union candidates both in Washington, D.C., and in communities throughout the United States," said APFA National President Julie Hedrick. "Vice President Biden supports employees' right to organize, and he will uphold and respect collective bargaining rights. He shares our view that increased unionization across the country will strengthen the Labor movement and the middle class across America.
Hedrick further explained, In these unprecedented times, we have seen firsthand what solidarity and unity within the Labor movement can produce. For example, the aviation Payroll Support Program within the CARES Act kept workers connected to pay and healthcare in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. But we are not finished. We will collectively work with our Union sisters and brothers across the industry and the country to continue fighting to keep all our members on the job as we move closer to a vaccine. Vice President Biden shares our concerns for the future.
