Like many Religious Right leaders, Kennedy never bothers to offer any proof for his most outrageous claims. The claim about communist professors is startling, yet we are expected to accept it on face value. Why? Because D. James Kennedy says so. This is the old "appeal to authority" argument: "It's true because I said so, and I'm an authority, so I ought to know." There are two things wrong with the argument in this case: One, authorities can be wrong, and two, Kennedy isn't an authority on communism or American universities. In fact, he's just a TV preacher who found someone to help him write books containing outrageous, unsubstantiated claims.

1. "Flight to quality" screamed one guru this week

I would add "end of quarter". Quality runs up, speculative play fall. Then in April we reverse.
