Special prize today to
@Delta

Good job Delta, you really thought that through

"Ok, Delta, You watch Matthew while we go have a drink.

What? Your plane's engine won't start?

Sorry 'bout that. We told ya to watch him."

She and her husband signed up for a credit card that allows lounge access, but does not allow guests or non-cardholders in without paying a fee, and she is angered by the terms of the card she signed up for?

Does she think that a card which provides cardholder lounge access entitles the whole Von Trapp Family Singers?

tbh, in most airports, the airline lounges are way overrated, and there are comfortable digs and better food to be found elsewhere at lower overall cost. The main thing that airline lounges provide - in a lot of airports, with few exceptions - is the "feeling of privilege" by merely being admitted. The selection of sad snacks and beverages, though, is typically on par with your basic vending machine.

Yes, there are some exceptions, but this is more of a "hurt because my privilege doesn't extend as far as I'd like" thing. What various credit cards or frequent-flyer tiers provide are usually pretty clearly spelled out.

On edit: Oh, I missed that she's a lawyer. Umm.. okay, this is "lawyer announces inability to read contract to entire world". interesting flex.
