Next week, investors will gain insights into how the housing market is doing ahead of the seasonally slow winter months.
Despite the shortened holiday week, several important economic data points will be released, including the Case-Shiller Home Price Index for October, pending home sales and wholesale inventories for November.
With the year coming to an end, this week we will be paying attention to key economic data points, including the Case-Shiller Home Price Index. Investors will want to know if home prices are holding up as we enter the seasonally slow winter months. Initial unemployment claims will also be published. The labor market had been regaining strength, but the sharp rise in cases of the omicron variant of COVID-19 could threaten that. Pending home sales, wholesale inventories and initial jobless claims will also be published this week.
