it means there's more access to contraceptives for women. And a lot more people shunning the idea of marriages having to last forever. That being said, I intend to stay married to my wonderful wife for as long as she'll have me.

The boomers parents didn't start getting divorced all willy nilly, and boomers today still account for the lion share of divorces. The younger generation waits almost a decade on average longer to get married and their divorce rates are far closer to those of their grandparents then their parents.

That being said if having access to the pill allowed more people to get out a marriages they shouldn't have been in more power to the pill. The % of physically assaults by spouses has also been dropping dramatically during this time period.
