Timely reminder.

Men are four times more likely to die of suicide than women. When someone asks why women are more likely to suffer from mental illness (especially depression);
a) it seems reasonable to note that many women are depressed because they've lost a loved one to suicide, and
b) it also seems reasonable to suggest that those men probably suffered from depression too.

men are also 3 times more likely to be victims of homicide while women are 3 times more likely to suffer from borderline personality disorder.

having been sucked into the lives of 2 bpd females (before i understood how to assess and avoid them), i can also share that mental illness affects the sane partner, often irredeemably.

there are some significant gender disparities in health that need to get ironed out and some root causes addressed i think.

The patriarchy is making men commit suicide. This makes women depressed. Therefore we need better mental health care for women.
