Another reason to put off shaving.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/29/beard-study-heavy-stubble-men-attractive-women_n_3180157.html

Talk about cutting-edge science. A new study conducted by researchers in Australia shows that women prefer men with heavy stubble over clean-shaven guys and guys sporting light stubble or full beards.

And what sort of men's facial hair do straight guys think is preferable among their peers? In the study, published in the May issue of the journal Evolution & Human Behavior, full beards and heavy stubble edged out light stubble and the clean-shaven look.

Apparently you want to be somewhere in between PeeWee Herman and Zach Galifinakis.

I usually dabble in the area of "heavy stubble" due to my laziness and lack of care in how I look. But now I can't say that I don't care how I look when I have heavy stubble because it appears that I'm actually trying to make myself more attractive?

bahh. I'm still going to sport the feral veteran look that I've been striving so hard to have. Good use of the "crazy eye" will further set me apart from my scraggly non-veteran peers.

Next I hope to see a study that says that men who have that hideous door-knocker facial hair thing are generally looked down on by their peers.

I've had jobs where I had to shave every day, and it tears up my skin.

In her words, "men have facial hair, boys don't." Sadly, I can't seem to grow a full beard (damned cheeks are almost bare), so the moustache and the 12 inch goatee have to suffice.

I'm half Italian, so one would think I would be like frigging Sasquatch, but alas, no dice.

Can't stand it if it gets any longer than 3 mm, I usually set the trimmer at 2.5 mm. Being blond, it isn't as dark as it would look at the same length on a guy with really dark hair. I guess it depends on genetics. My Chaldean friend sports a very dark stubble look by afternoon if you look at him from a distance, and he shaves daily, because of jet black hair and a heavy beard.
