/ladies, here is what you can do to end female sexual assault of young boys: Stop raping them. Stop drugging them or using alcohol to lower their inhibition. Stop using your age or authority to coerce them. Stop abusing the assumption that you would never hurt a child to have children alone at your home unsupervised so you can molest them. If you feel the need to molest a child just blow a whistle and some man can come and stop you.

Men have been portrayed as beasts unable to control their instinctual urges at least since the feminist heyday of Dworkin, MacKinnon, and Morgan and this theme has been repeated over and over to present day. So it's pretty hard to establish an equivalency when one side has been portrayed quite effectively as sub-human for the past 30-40 years.

but it is always fun to listen to the backpedaling.

I love hearing why it's ok in one direction but horribly offensive if flipped around.

/bonus points if they can work the patriarchy and some porn/rape analogy in there.

Wherein it is the young boys who are exploiting lonely middle aged women discarded by the patriarchy and are therefore easily seduced.

There was an un-fucking-believable deleted subthread on DU2 on the subject of a thirteen year old boy abused by two older women where a number of individuals were arguing that the thirteen year old had seduced or possibly (you guessed it) the older women. I don't recall it was deleted over the horrifying argument but a spectacularly crude comparison made to the catholic church by posters rejecting the argument.

accusing a 13 year old girl of seducing (or worse) two older men would have stayed up. 5, maybe 10 seconds?
