Am I the only one who is getting tired of "penis" analogies?

"oh he just has a small penis"
"oh he's just compensating"
"this is because of a small pee-pee"
et al

I'm honestly getting sick and tired of the common reply to some idiot humping his guns, driving a hot car, etc is "he has a small dick" and I can't be the only one.

Does that person probably have self esteem issues? likely.
COULD it be because they perceive their manhoods as being.. lacking? quite possibly.

here is the part I really am unsure about adding, but is it not true?

who berates men for having "unacceptable manhood"?

should we coddle these people?
no of course not. They clearly have issues.
But aren't we educated enough to look at the more probable root cause and to use less sophomoric terms than "he's got a small dick"?

....when the same people who want to parse though every word you write to ascribe some sort of sexist and misogynist subtext to posts are usually the biggest users of "small dick" and "go whack off some more" humor, and then seem confused as to why they are largely ignored.

including the implication that if certain feminists spend so much time ridiculing men with small penises, they must prefer menfolk with cocks the size of kebana rolls.

You certainly don't want to be some weak, plaintive, small-penised man complaining about his lot in life, if feminists are any indication.

You're far better off being a huge hulk of a man with a cock that could brain a bear cub. Feminists might chafe and resent the latter but they clearly despise the former.

I think the solution here is more to lighten up than to double down (and that applies to all sides, mind you).

I'd like to see more humor all around but it is not going to happen on this site which I now realize is terribly terribly skewed away from the norm and there is a real insidious McCarthy-esque mechanic going on.

It's the epic shit fit some like to throw however if we're not the constant and vicious butt of it though.

Humor is great, I love humor, the worst thing to happen to the world was the RIGHT WING's invention of political correctness!
what was worse is the left was stupid enough to accept it as a good idea ><;

And it happens right here on DU, quite frequently. And yes, women are the ones often making the slur. Just as often as other men.

The constant reference to the (theoretical) small size of a man's penis. Not based on any evidence, because he own a gun, or drives a big, expensive car or truck, or buys or owns something which is viewed as an ostentatious display of wealth by others. In other words men are constantly accused of being deficient in their manhood and sexuality because certain people don't like certain male's purchases and / or behavior. Despite being also "constantly" being told by women that penis size really does not matter to women.

The same type of comment is almost never made about the size of a women's breasts or the size of her genitals. The closest that it comes, is calling a woman the dreaded "C" word. And THAT provokes howls out outrage.

So "Yes, is it perfectly okay to insult some people and not others."

sometimes they are funny.

I was watching this HBO sex show about a woman who holds seminars teaching women about sex. Specifically, in this episode, oral sex.

She starts out by wondering just how she got into this business, and has a kinda cute attitude through the show, including going through the dildo collection for her "students" (who share in the hilarity of the whole thing).

"This is average size, this is obviously enormous... this is a little short, and this is the 'Porsche driver'..."

I had to laugh.
