1. "tvs"... I'd bet all those who spent many thousands $$ on the largest, latest flatscreens will love

10. I've already made many of those things obsolete in my home

I have not had a line line in - jeez I can't even remember when. Many years.

I use LED light bulbs

I have multifunctional cookers. I rarely use my stove or oven.
I have a ninja foodie grill - works as an air fryer, it has a baking and roasting function.

I have a ninja foodie pressure cooker - it has air fryer function.

I think the only thing I use the stove for is making breakfast. Things like eggs and for boiling pasta. And actually, I sometimes throw that in the pressure cooker.

I have a printer, but I lost the cord when I moved last year. Have not replaced it. Don't plan to. I like the fact that many stores now offer email receipts. No more lost receipts if I need to return something.

I have a wireless charger

I don't have an alarm clock. I use my phone for alarm. I also have Alexa - I have used that for an alarm as well. Great for setting alarms for the future. I don't have to write down appts or things I have to get done in the future. My Alexa alarm reminds me when its time.

I have not had a DVD or CD player in years. I have a smart tv and streaming service.

Stereo, don't have one. I store music on my phone which I can listen to through Alexa or blue tooth speaker.

The remote - I bought a voice controlled remote for my guest bedroom when I lost the original remote for that tv. I am guessing that tvs of the future may have voice control built in?

I know I can also program Alexa to do this. My son has an app on his phone that changes the channel.

I have not gotten new checks in years. I still have some left over from the last set of checks I received.

I have had cordless vacuums - even the Roomba in the past. They have not performed to my liking. I hope the technology has improved. I do like that vacuums are smaller and lighter and still powerful. I can easily take mine upstairs.

TVs. I still have a tv in the living room and guest room. I don't have one in my bedroom anymore. I use my laptop when I want to watch tv in my bedroom. I love that I can watch live tv from anywhere in the house. Bathroom, or kitchen. Lol!

I'm not sold on the smart lock yet. Just as I am not sold yet on keyless entry cars. I worry about hacking.

And on that note. I live in a gated apartment complex. I have a remote that opens the gate. I give the remote to guests that are visiting so they can come and go. There is a separate entrance to the complex for visitors and deliveries. They use the callbox for entrance. I can use my phone to open that gate. My problem is for whatever reason, there have been times that the callbox is not working. I can't use the phone to open the gate if the durn callbox is not working. Hence I can't get into the complex! Then I think about what if I lose my phone? How do I get in? That's my other fear about smart locks. What if I lose my phone? How would I get in?

2. Printers, stereo systems, blue ray aren't going away.

Wireless speakers mostly suck sound wise, so true audiophiles will still use wired speakers and quality amps.

4. Was going to say the same ... there may be lots of streaming movies

But you need a lot of bandwidth for a 4K picture and lossless 5.1 sound (let alone a full 7.2.4 Atmos setup). A lot of providers still don't provide it, and I bet won't for quite awhile. A lot of people still don't have fast enough internet for it either, and also may not for a long time.

Some people will always care about getting a top-notch entertainment experience.

I still look at hi-fi gear all the time, and occasionally buy things, like a new sub and nice bookshelf speakers I bought early in April.

9. I still have a VCR to play my old movies, lol.

Thrift stores are a great place to pick up old, quality audio equipment. I scored a 12 band Realistic equalizer that's now the switching center for all my audio. It's connected to my turntable, tv, ipod, etc. It can sent the music to the surround sound in the house, or wireless speakers outside, using multiple inputs.

No signal inside the house. Dead zones throughout the neighborhood.

I will never ever approved automatic bill payment.

This is just a license for a merchant to steal money from your bank account.

I've had experiences where I have cancelled services and they continue to charge my account for months.

12. I agree. If I have a dispute with a company...

they will have to deal with me to get my money. There is no way I will fight with them (and most likely have to spend even more) to attempt to get my money BACK FROM them.

6. When some of these go away, our overlords will have even more

control over us. There will be no more freedom.

DVDs, iPods, and headphones with wires make me able to choose my entertainment. And Big Brother won't be able to keep score of what I watch or listen to (unless Blue Thunder flies overhead).

When the Post Office disappears, they'll be controlling the mail that gets delivered, just like in Attica.

On the bright side, vinyl records are making a comeback, so there is hope.

11. TVs???

I agree with mostly everything on this list. But TVs? People like watching certain things on larger screens than their laptops or smartphones. Those things are good backups to watch sometimes..... but I enjoy having a TV (mine is a mere 34 inches, not nearly as big as most peoples)

13. i need a NEW TAPE player. not tossing my CDs. pissed about rotary phones. but i am using

a 20's or older heater cause of old houses electrics. prefer my vintage fans. and my 30's coffee pot works just fine. screw modernity.

14. I choose to be a dinosaur.

Land line phone and cell(for emergencies). Two turntables with all that goes with a sound system (dubbing cassette, tuner, speakers, etc). I still have two VCRs, which I use. I wish I could still record on it with HDTV.

And lots and lots of good, 'ol vinyl.
