VP Biden: Dignity Trumps Ring-Kissing Etiquette

Joe Biden doesn't kiss up to anyone — whether a queen or a pope.

The vice president told a gathering of Irish-Americans in New York City on Thursday that as a young U.S. senator he was to meet the queen of England.

He remembers getting a call from his mother, who told him not to kiss the queen's ring.

Years later, when he was to meet Pope John Paul II, Biden says his mother told him not to kiss the pope's ring.

Joe makes me happy every time I see or read about him. I've liked the man since I first read about him years ago. I always felt he was on my/our side. I was ecstatic when President O picked him as his Vice President and I truly felt a burden lifted from my shoulders. He is always on the right side of any issue.
I really do like my President and Vice President.
More than likely the last ones I'll know.
