Romney, Biden Trade Barbs in Potential 2012 Preview.
Mr. Biden, writing Friday in the Des Moines Register, said Mr. Romney was pushing an agenda that would "double down on the policies that caused the greatest economic calamity since the Great Depression and accelerated a decades-long assault on the middle class."
Mr. Romney responded from the campaign trail, suggesting that the vice president was living in a "fantasy land" and assailing President Barack Obama for policies that he said slowed the economic recovery.
