Hard to keep up with this man.

Was looking through this url to find video of his remarks to the Nordic dinner (no luck yet), but did find videos of his remarks to the Oxford Union Thursday
Looks great -- see the speech itself and the Q & A
Most of all, HE looks great. This is a happy and fulfilled man, at the top of his game. Such a pleasure to see.

He demurred from detailed answer about Trump because of the nature of his job, but he then said, "I'm sure that many in Europe wish they could vote" (in US 2016 election). . "in fact, looking back to 2004, so do I"

(59,969 posts)By the way, there is video on the "remarks" link - along with the transcript. http://www.state.gov/secretary/remarks/2016/05/257193.htm if you mean the State Department lunch - as opposed to dinner.
Like the Oxford Union speech and the NE speech and other recent talks, he seems very happy here -- and each of the leaders almost competed to praise him more than the others. In the nastiness that seems to enveloped Politics 2016, it is just so good to hear and see Kerry speak.

All those stupid people who thought they'd "rather have a beer with" W than JK.
They know NOTHING.
There are also a couple of photos at state.gov:http://www.state.gov/secretary/photos/index.htm#
One observation though. In 2004, I noticed that Kerry was always much happier and more relaxed when Teresa was there. In fact, I remember watching his NYU speech in Sept 2004 on Iraq and noticing his face suddenly brighten and his entire appearance seemed to be more relaxed - at the end of the paragraph, he introduced Teresa, who had come from a different appearance in town.
I think that THIS Kerry, more comfortable in himself (though he was never NOT comfortable), under less arbitrary pressure from the knowledge that anything he jokingly said could and world be used against him, would have won 2004 beyond the cheating. His genuinely principled nature and his charm would have been far more obvious.
That said, his schedule has been amazing - last week he was in Paris, dealing with issues of Syria, Israel/Palestine, Ukraine etc, then to London and dealing with fighting corruption, then leaving mid day London time to fly back to the US and the next day starting a full day with the Nordic leaders, leaving that night after the dinner to fly to Saudi Arabia for talks, now in Vienna to co chair with the Italian FM on Libya today and to attend talks tomorrow on Syria ... from there to fly to join Obama in Vietnam!
(No wonder one of the Nordic leaders spoke of him being everywhere!)
