I'm seeing lots of stupid news alerts about his Lee Oswald comment, but without your post, I would never have seen the source, which is so, so much more. Even that is clearly not the whole conversation, having been chopped up. Is the whole thing up anyplace, I wonder?

Aha! I may have found it!

NBC
On Nov. 22nd at 9 p.m., NBC will air a two-hour special, hosted by Tom Brokaw, called Where Were You?. It will pose the titular question (and other pressing questions) to a variety of people, including some who were present that day. Sunday talk show Meet the Press will feature footage from 1960 Kennedy interviews in a special called MTP Remembers: JFK — the Presidential Campaign.

(found here, great blog post!!! http://www.mediaite.com/tv/a-guide-to-all-the-jfk-specials-that-will-air-on-tv-this-month/)

So it hasn't actually aired yet, hooray!!!

I thought JK was just amazing in these clips. So genuine and, as karenVT says, candid. I found it incredibly moving how he seemed to actually be *reliving* those wonderful and terrible moments from his youth. It will be fascinating to see the special and see if others go back in time the same way...

I loved that he said he felt the message was to "make your life count" -- he absolutely has done and is doing that.
