a little OT: Swift Boaters fund Scott Walker in WI

http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/12/walker-raises-5-1-million-to-beat-back-recall-250k-from-swift-boater.php?ref=fpb

"Also, $2.4 million of the total has come from out of state — notably a $250,000 donation from Bob Perry, the Texas businessman who financed the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth campaign of 2004, which spread false information about Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry’s war record."

Very nasty stuff going on there. Walker folks have raised $5.1 million to Dems/recall-campaign's ~$1.8 million. On the optimistic side, they've already got 507,000 signatures in support of recall, in just 30 days.

Their attack on John Kerry was just part of their attack on democracy and justice. Supporting Scott Walker is another battle in the same war.

and I would guess that Sen. Kerry must feel the same way, since it's the war he's been fighting.

and to compound the injury, both those who made the ads and those that funded the ad have been well rewarded by the Republicans in government. Just recently, the guest of honor at the Jewish Republican convention - where all the Republican candidates trashed Obama was -- Sam Fox, the recess appointed ambassador to Belgium.
