Archeologists working a dig site in northern Peru keep uncovering the final resting places of priests who lived thousands of years ago.
After discovering the tomb of the "Priest of the Pututos" last year, the cooperative group of Japanese and Peruvian archeologists believe they have found the crypt of the "Priest of Pacopampa."
The tomb is believed to be 3,000 years old and, from what they found buried with the male remains, they believe he was a religious leader, according to Reuters.
The priest was found beneath six layers of ash mixed with black earth. With him were decorated bowls and two seals that suggest he was an individual of high standing.
