Disaffected Republicans

Comey really socked to Hillary Tuesday with his insertion of comments (instead of just saying yes or no and sending his Recommendation to the DOJ). The news traveled around the world and any truth he clarified on Thursday is moot.

.............While Ms. Devers said she thought Mrs. Clinton was more trustworthy, she was nevertheless appalled by the findings of the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, on Tuesday that the former secretary of state was “extremely careless” in her handling of 110 classified emails. “She took a huge security risk for this country,” Ms. Devers said. “Part of me feels like she’s a criminal.”.................

..........But Mr. Reilly will not vote for Mrs. Clinton — “especially not after yesterday,” he said Wednesday, referring to the F.B.I.’s finding that Mrs. Clinton should not be charged but that she had risked exposing state secrets through her use of private email servers...............................

However I am as certain as I can be that we don't need disaffected Republicans or disaffected leftists (if they are really leftists). And if we don't need them we are better off letting their chips fall where they may, than in trying to reach out to those who want only to stab us in the back.

I don't like that assessment, per se. I want to believe we can work with everyone toward the common good but my life experience tells me otherwise. As Sun Tzu said, vanquish your enemies because if you don't they will rally and they will come back to defeat you. In this instance we cannot vanquish them. But we can disable them as much as possible.

Keep the faith. We will win in November. I'm sure of it.

"While I regret we found no criminal activities or intent, I still want to keep the pot stirred - as I am above reproach and above the political fray - and want to repeatedly emphasize, this is how we treat everyone - except this one time, because this is so important to everyone."

After all, 3 emails out of 30,000 were mismarked (c), and that ought to disqualify a former Senator and Secretary of State from holding office. Funny how that assertion by Comey - the basis of his claim she did transmit "marked" documents and lied about it - Rep. Cummings brought that up and added it to the record, and Comey didn't dispute it.

It's both what Comey "said" outside the norm - and then what he didn't say - that shows his true colors.
