Bernie Sanders does not plan to suspend his campaign and endorse presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in a video speech to supporters on Thursday, focusing instead on ways to pursue his policy agenda and reform goals, a spokesman said.

Sanders, who has resisted pressure to exit the race and back Clinton in a show of party unity since she clinched the Democratic nomination last week, will address supporters nationwide on a video live stream on Thursday night.

That raised expectations Sanders might formally pull the plug on his campaign. But spokesman Michael Briggs said on Wednesday the speech will focus on how Sanders' supporters can keep the fight alive on priorities such as raising the minimum wage and reducing the influence of big money in politics.

"Tomorrow night, no, he's not ending it," Briggs said of the campaign. "We're working our way through that, how to go forward on that front. This message to supporters is going to be a lot broader than that."

Sanders, a U.S. senator from Vermont, has promised to continue his campaign to next month's Democratic nominating convention in Philadelphia as leverage to force concessions from Clinton on his policy goals and on reforms he seeks in the Democratic Party's nominating process.

I really want to say Hell No! Go fund your own party. See how you will get there.

NO to open primaries. Only Democrats should vote to select their candidates.

NO to elimination of Super Delegates. There is a history for this. The 1968 and 1972 fiasco. We need adults to intervene and this year showed us exactly why.

As for same day registration - this is up to the states. Seems that like Trump his knowledge of law is more a wishful thinking.

Okay, I answered my own question. It is quite common and expected for senators to miss many votes if they are running for president. But here is a link to Bernie's voting record:

One of the problems with senators running for president is that their votes are really needed, especially when they belong to the minority party in the Senate. But it can't be helped. It is good for the country and the party that Hillary is "between jobs" this time.

The best thing now is simply to ignore him. Hillary has won the nomination for all intents and purposes. Bernie looks like a curmudgeonly sourpuss and very poor sport by pulling this sh** but we don't need him.

need to apply some direct pressure to Mr Sanders. Chairmanship comes after the election Bernie. If you are a good soldier, you'll be rewarded.

He has been given a pass to caucus with the Democrats, been able to be a Superdelegate as an Independent (compliments of DWS). Now, he's been a Democrat for 15 minutes AND lost, yet he is holding our Nominee Hostage! He never had "skin" in the Democratic Party. What's he care?

The way I see it?
Sanders is a taker.To beat a taker, you have to grab back what was given to him. Like a bully, you have to become the bully. That's the only thing he'll understand.

So maybe a third string independent Senator from VT with no power might do it.

No Party Privileges or Chairmanships for Bernie unless he tows the party line.

I dare him to vote with Republicans. He won't..
