Hillary Clinton

How's that Party unity thing working out, Bernie? Oh wait, he isn't a Democrat so he doesn't care what he is doing to the Party or to this nation. It's all about Bernie... doesn't sound like he's ready to concede.

(28,833 posts)I think he's just playing to the crowd at this point. Still think he's going to end it after DC.
Hope so, anyway.

(7,936 posts)He may have decided to end his campaign and support Hillary, thus doing the right thing even thought it is not going to be popular amongst his most ardent supporters.

(10,237 posts)...what he sees as best for HIM! Once the $27 donations stop, he doesn't give 3/10 of a rat fuck about his supporters!
PEACE!

(44,173 posts)He has the right to run in DC.
And if you parse his words carefully, when he speaks of "going to Philadelphia", he doesn't mean his candidacy for the nomination. He means his issues and ideas.

(5,108 posts)I personally have no objection to his running all the way through the last primary. HOWEVER, I do object to this mythifying of a person, and trying to put him on the same level as Dr. King. There is NO comparison. NONE.

(15,493 posts)Sanders has lost. Whether he concedes or not, he has lost.
If he tries to push things further without conceding, he will diminish himself, will eventually lose support, and will become a footnote in history like Senator Eugene McCarthy in 1968. If he concedes with the grace that Hillary did in 2008, I will applaud him. If he truly works with Hillary to defeat Trump, I will respect him.
But whatever he does, Bernie is no longer my concern. Working to elect Hillary in November is.

(3,517 posts)I am paraphrasing but it went something like "The biggest diservice the press did was to make the primary seem closer than it really was."

(6,300 posts)... is more about ratings anymore rather than actual news. The Republican primary was a ratings winner. The Democratic primary on the other hand needed a little help to match that level of entertainment. I think that statement is pretty spot-on.

(41 posts)What is unpopular but right, for sanders, is supporting Hillary. As soon as he does so he's back to being my good friend and I'll hold out hope just a bit longer to see if he does.

(7,487 posts)I'm specifically here so I don't have to run across vitriol or innuendo that impugns the character of my candidate. I'm confused why a Sanders supporter comes into this group...

(6,444 posts)Exactly! If people are not supporters they can take their talk to the BS group and as of right now the GDP.

(53,587 posts)He has one primary left, and it's the District of Columbia, which is predominantly African American. That is why he is posting a picture of MLK, and if you notice, his prior post is about mass incarceration. I notice he doesn't mention that he voted YES on the very crime bill that he says caused mass incarceration!

(2,542 posts)I wonder if, in his mind, he's somehow convinced himself that he really did March shoulder-to-shoulder with Dr King.
Go home, Bernie, you're drunk.

So regardless of what is said, the campaign is wrapping up. It's over and Bernie and most lucid people in America know it.
