Thus, Montana and North Dakota - in addition to be a caucus state - were not a surprise.

Nice to see South Dakota where Daschle, apparently, campaigned hard.

4. MT had an open primary.

I am sure that there were crossover Rs (anti-Hillary voters) for Bernie because the GOPer nominee was already decided.

But a double-digit margin of victory for Bernie in MT was expected. Ultimately it was just slightly more than six percentage points. Plus Bernie had personally campaigned in the state and Clinton had not made an appearance there although the Big Dawg made a very brief stop in Billings.

I see lots of reason for optimism for Hillary in MT for the GE.

ND had a caucus where very few people were represented, more likely hardcore BS supporters. Had there been a primary, while Hillary would still likely have lost, there would likely have been a smaller margin of victory for Bernie there as well.
