(12,482 posts)She worked for civil rights and women's rights in the 50's and 60's would have into the 70's had she not been so ill. Seeing President Obama and now President Clinton would have made her so proud. We did it Mom!
By the way, my apologies to the Republican party and all of the trolls they sent here in the past few months. You aren't running against Bernie the socialist, you get your worst nightmare, Hillary the Great!

(4,311 posts)I've just watched Hillary's full speech from last night (I'm in the UK). Started crying the minute she walked out into the crowd and haven't stopped yet. This is an incredibly emotional moment for me. My mom is almost exactly the same age as Hillary, and just the thought that ANY woman, a woman like my mom or any other, could achieve this...the barriers are broken down... man, it just really gets to me.
It took someone as strong, tenacious, and brilliant as Hillary to achieve this. Seriously, bless her for taking on an absolutely thankless job and ROCKING it so hard!

(2,032 posts)...that bothered me most: that they genuinely believed that the GOP was scared of running against a self-proclaimed socialist. The negative adds would have written themselves. I truly believe that for many rEpublicans, their only hope for fobbing a President tRump on us was for our Party to nominate Bernie.
