listening to Sanders
When Hillary complemented, and graciously commended Sanders for what Sanders had done, the Hillary supporters cheered.
When Sanders just mentioned Hillary's name, his crowd booed.
If that is the kind of leadership he leads, then ______________________

(96,555 posts)While this may tighten up, considering all the money he spent in California, it seems like he didn't impress as many people in California as he thought he would

(73,134 posts)he moves on. He has done for months. Just watch a few of his stump speeches. Shameful. And tonight of all nights.

(2,542 posts)And that bitterness is a key reason they lost support and lost the primary. So really, they have no one to blame but themselves.

(123,147 posts)start. She's been dehumanized. I was not surprised they booed at all. I think the dehumanization has very little to do with Bernie's leadership. He has treated Clinton humanely throughout. I'm sure some of the GOP paid trolls are pretending to be Hillary supporters to rub Bernie supporters faces in their loses. Watch out for that too.The grinning up of hate continues.

(123,147 posts)inspired. Bernie had to come out and defend Hillary as a good human being at least once or twice.

(28,833 posts)The vast majority of Clinton supporters would have voted for Sanders in November, his late-campaign antics notwithstanding. Many of us liked and respected him. Well, until lately, anyway. Even with what he's become (or what he always was), I'd still vote for him over Trump.
The reverse is pretty clearly not true. Many of his supporters have spent months railing against Hillary and 95% of Democrats and called her and her supporters everything short of the anti-christ.
So, it's not all that surprising, especially in light of the Politico article. The attitude goes all the way to the top.

(27,258 posts)I'm angry because I just saw ABC News and they said Hillary conceded eight years ago to the day and she called for unity and worked with Obama. Now she's the winner and it's STILL up to HER to work with Sanders on unity. Loser, winner, doesn't matter, she has to play unifier. Grrrrrrr.

(4,824 posts)finally got to run, and then lost, quickly told his supporters to stand down when they started booing Obama during his concession speech. And Obama did the same thing whenever the crowd at one of his rallies booed his opponents, which didn't even happen after a while.
An absolute lack of grace.

(15,496 posts)when she wanted to give a speech of her own that would likely have prolonged the nastiness.
That is possibly the only moment I have ever respected McCain.
Of course, it was McCain's own poor judgment that put SP in the spotlight in the first place. But still ...
