The speech is going to start with a video featuring footage of pivotal moments for women in American history. I already know I'm going to need the Kleenex.

We should lift each other upnot tear each other down. To be great, we cant be small. We have to be as big as the values that define us.

(27,995 posts)I'm so glad that my 84 year old Mom is here to see this. She said she never thought she'd live to see this day. She's thrilled and so am I!
I'm also thinking about my Nana, born before the 19th amendment was passed. She was a lifelong staunch Democrat and a feminist. I hope that she's smiling in heaven.

(1,630 posts)It is amazing she was able to keep her composure because it is such an emotional moment. She really paused and took it in and shared it with everyone. This is such a huge milestone and she has worked so very hard to get to this point. I love how she said she would take a few days to adjust to it! I know many of us feel the same way.
I am so proud of Hillary and our country tonight.
