Bernie Sanders has flipped a grand total of zero superdelegates so far

By Chris Cillizza June 7

Here's a telling exchange between MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell and Jeff Weaver, manager of Bernie Sanders's campaign, on Tuesday afternoon:

Mitchell: "Have you flipped any superdelegates yet?

Weaver: "No."

The entirety of Sanders's remaining chances in this race — such as they are — rest on persuading large numbers of superdelegates to switch from supporting Hillary Clinton to supporting him. Without such a broad-scale switcheroo, Sanders loses. Because of math.

This is that math. Clinton has 1,812 pledged delegates and 572 superdelegates, according to NBC's calculations. Add it up and you get 2,383 — a simple majority of all available delegates. Hence, the race is over.

The funny thing is that HRC after June 14th won't need that many Superdelegates to reach 2383! Her Sister Jun 2016 #3

Are our eyes deceiving us?

Perhaps...if we used Calculus .... the results would show a Bernie win!

side note: I'm readying the champagne glasses! They will be filled with Ameretto Sours and 1 Margatita , but none the less they are ready for the celebration tonight!

She's got too many right now! If she keeps the Superdelegates she has right now she will have more than 300 extra on June 14th after all the Pledged Delegates are divvied up.

For him to deny her the nomination he will need her down to less that 210 Super Delegates! Then she won't reach 2382.

But that will mean denying the nomination to the candidate that reached all the pertinent metrics for the nomination!

nominating a self-described socialist to the national ticket would be the ONLY thing that could assure us of a Trump presidency!

Making sure 'the people' don't nominate a disaster is the purpose of superdelegates!

Fortunately, 'the people' agreed - this time.

with Gary Hart and Walter Mondale. Mondale was ahead and the presumptive nominee. Hart made exactly the same argument Bernie is now. He spend the summer trying to flip superdelegates before the convention. The end result was a net zero..

I do not think the Sanders campaign will reach a different outcome.
