What's a Hillary supporter to do? If we offer an olive branch, we're "insincere". And if we ...

... celebrate Hillary's success, we're "grave dancing". If we offer a handshake, we're "condescending". If we offer a hug, we're "arrogant". If we point out facts, we're "lying". If we remain silent, we're "scared". If we refute lies, we're "bullying".

(not with ignore list) and I thank the gracious ones.

You (well some people) can tell when someone is ready to 'accept moving on'; when I'm angry there's no point in apologizing or trying to make nice.

the reasonable ones some time to process it all.

The amount of emotional investment some of them have made in this campaign is sky-high, and it's going to take some time to deal with the reality that it's over.

Been there, done that, more times than not.

when the time comes to do something. I will be voting in November. I will undoubtedly vote for the Democratic nominee for president. I am confident that nearly all people with political views close to mine will do the same thing that I do and they won't need any prodding from me.

the fact that Bernie is not going to be the nominee. No need to rub salt in the wound. I remember feeling pretty low in 2008 when Hillary lost.

...and look what we all found out! That Obama became an amazing president and we all support him whole-heartily. Bernie supporters who are really progressive and not libertarian, or whatever, will gradually come to realize that Hillary Clinton isn't "the lesser of two evils", but an awesome Madame president. They will learn that their opinions of her now are wrong and they will let it all go.

I felt the same in 08. Voted for Obama in November of course, and have never had cause to regret it. But I needed time, and really would have liked to punch the face off of anyone who suggested I get excited for Obama to be our nominee the day after the race was called, lol!

will not seek or desire any reconciliation

Hillary supporters do not need to do anything. Those who supported Bernie who want to stop Trump, will act accordingly.

Most will realize that we have common goals, and agree on most of the issues, and come together.

It doesn't mean we won't disagree, argue, debate, and compromise, but there is a common good that we all strive for.

What has been a reality for most of us has not been quite so obvious for those who were in a day dream. They may still need time to return to reality after being out for so long.

Eventually, those who are truly Democrats will come around and the others will meet their fate.

They just lost their saint and that isn't easy.

I use to play that "what the hell is a matter with those people" game. Outside of a very few, very obvious types with their.. challenges..we are dealing with human beings with very bad information.

I spent some time chasing some of that information--there are legitimate criticisms of Hillary Clinton--but those aren't even the ones brought up. The ones brought up are spun bias, paranoid, repeat-it-until-you-believe-it memes that require little thought, much less analysis. Chasing ludicrous "links" that supposedly prove some '"progressive" point and ultimately finding right wing sources is not an enjoyable pastime, but I've done it.

I've noticed what you are referring too over and over. I struggle with a name for it, but I'm tired of naming bullshit as though bullshit deserves a special name.

It's why I've trashed GD-P--although I think I will untrash it now.

22. We celebrate!!
Tue Jun 7, 2016, 11:49 AM
Jun 2016

One side wins, one side loses. That's just the way it works. The fact that some people are not happy should not take away from the accomplishment and exuberance we feel as our candidate makes history.

It is time for a victory party! We can celebrate publicly and proudly here. The only inappropriate thing would be taking the celebration to their safe place.

They need some time to adjust, and to heal. We have all been there. Most of them will come around. They will not be as enthused as we are, perhaps, but they will accept, and will work for what is best for the Country. A few will not- and of those, some were NEVER here for any reason other than to disrupt.

We enjoy this victory with all of the happiness it brings us, and then get back to work. We have a general election to win!

It's going to take some time this time
To get myself in shape
I really feel out-of line this time
I really missed the gate
The birds on the telephone line (next time)
Are cryin' out to me (next time)
And I won't be so blind next time
And I'll find some harmony

on my own face book page. I have had Bernie supporters come on there insult me, tell me I had no right to post a pro-Hillary article at all. So I told them as nicely as I knew how that this is my page, I am the Sheriff and I will start blocking folks from my page. One had the nerve to tell me that I needed to be open to different views. I told one of them so it's okay for you to post all your Pro-Bernie and anti-Hillary stuff on your page but when I post something Pro-Hillary or Anti Bernie on my page suddenly I am the bad guy? I started banning Bernie supporters from my page and I have not looked back.

I honestly don't care what they think about Hillary, what they think about me, who they vote for or why.

After reading hundreds of pledges never to vote for Hillary Clinton for POTUS, I take them at their word. They are as meaningless as Republicans to me...actually, that's wrong, I have recently met several Republicans who intend to jump parties and I have a lot of respect for them.
