Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumPrimary Night Event with Hillary Clinton in Brooklyn tomorrow night
Just curious to see who will be going. I'm going (with my husband); we're so excited to see her tomorrow night.
I think she's going to make an announcement (hmmm...what could it be???) hah

(521 posts)Do you mind elaborating? I love to hear people's personal stories.
Thinkingabout
(30,058 posts)Forward to the Hillary years. She will be the first woman president, a great time in history and she follows the first black president. She will be a great president.

(521 posts)It was the Dems who got the first black president and now the first female president. Meanwhile, the Repubs are stuck in some mid-20th century time warp.
Tomorrow and election night notwithstanding, I am most looking forward to the inauguration, when Obama hands the baton to Hillary. That moment will be so historic. It would've been historic, anyway, but just the fact that she's immediately following the first black president just makes it sweeter, IMO.

(67,782 posts)...it was too much for this old guy to do in one day, so I'll just watch from home (hopefully they cover history instead of histrionics).
Have fun (I assume you're already there?) and scream for us, too.

(3,284 posts)before she came out to speak (2.5 hours!) and we were packed in pretty tightly, so you probably made the right choice. We had fun, though, but my advice for next time would be to arrive later so you don't have to wait around so long.
It was a nice change to hear the news saying there was a lot of enthusiasm for Clinton...for once!

(67,782 posts)....a few years ago where Bill Clinton appeared, we waited about 2 hours, which has caused me to think twice before trying one of those.

(3,284 posts)In the future, I'll probably watch from the comfort of my couch.

(9,148 posts)TV news will probably preempt it with DT & BS, so get pics & a story to tell us when its over.

(26,288 posts)Enjoy it for all of us, and come back and give us a good report.
I lived most of my life in the Atlanta area. It is quite a change to move to NJ. I hope you like it there...it's a great opportunity to get to know a different area. I lived in DC for a decade and enjoyed being in a new area long enough to feel at home.

(3,284 posts)Oooo another Atlantan! Nice to meet you. I grew up there, and lived there up until 3 years ago. Yes, Jersey City is very different from Atlanta (as I'm sure you know!), but I really like it here especially the proximity to NYC.

(33 posts)Very excited. Such a momentous and historic moment. It's been so underplayed, for all the same reasons.
See you there!!
sarae
(3,284 posts)It really is a historic moment that I wasn't sure I'd see in my lifetime. It sounds like Bernie might be coming around a little, too (according to the news) although I've thought that before. hah! We'll see...
See you there!!

Right when I was about to get a good photo of Hillary as she passed by, the girl in front of me decided to take a selfie. I ended up capturing that instead.
