(27,743 posts)I checked out your website at: http://molinaforcongress.com/ - and found it to be very well done. You are an impressive candidate! I would like to wish you the best of luck on behalf of Democracy for America Group at Democratic Underground.
I added my name to the list of your supporters on the DFA supporters and would encourage other DU members with DFA accounts to do the same. I would encourage you to read the DFA manual on campaigns if you haven't already, I think it's an invaluable resource for running any campaign of any type: http://www.democracyforamerica.com/trainingmanual2009dfa and especially given that you're in a pretty red-district. I think we've got to believe though that we can take this country back and I applaud your efforts. Mousepads, shoe leather and hope!
BTW - I enjoyed looking at your artwork: http://www.lauramolina.com/

(21 posts)I intend to run a creative campaign. The consultants think too narrow-minded and I want to do things my way.
My campaign needs cash, I'm worrying over travel expenses to the Democratic convention in San Diego this weekend.

(27,743 posts)I think you'll find getting cash and votes is much easier with some common-sense grassroots organization. Many of the consultants do "think too narrow-minded" but there are also some time-tested basics to forming any movement that can't be overcome without putting the hard-work in that going grassroots requires:

Being an effective candidate is all about tooting your own horn and convincing others that you're worth putting a stake in

(53,339 posts)I ran into you on a thread a while back. Hoped to meet you at Occupy Lancaster or down in L.A., but that hasn't happened yet.
I know you did the Rose Parade, and I was at the rally afterward at Pasadena City Hall. But I know where you are, and I'm in Quartz Hill, so I know we'll meet up IRL eventually.
I love your story and your art (yes, I've been to your sites), but you don't have a prayer against Buck. Still, having a dem candidate means the GOP has to invest campaign funds here and not divert them elsewhere.
I'm with you all the way, girl. You are ferocious, and I love you!
Love & Peace,
