Just think for a moment and consider the facts.
They didn't get elected and RE-elected because they were weak. They're projecting "weakness" and "caving" because they wholeheartedly agree with the GOP, not President Obama, regarding Bush tax cuts, no universal health care insurance, no single payer, no touching corporate loopholes, no touching or tweaking NAFTA, no peace, no closing Gitmo, and no jobs.
We need to come to terms that the majority of Democrats are no different than Republicans. All they want is more for themselves and their families and to HELL with the rest of America, but hide behind the GOP who are blatant and known for being pro-business and anti-labor.
Reid could have done away with the filibuster twice, but he refused, and he allowed the GOP to filibuster everything in order to water down bills that would have benefited us but take profits from Big Business. Nancy Pelosi could have drafted and passed a jobs bill many, many times, even as we were fighting for HCR. President Obama, back in May 2010, pressed Congress (Pelosi was still Speaker) to push for the extension of U.E. benefits, but she did nothing and allowed it come to a head in December where he was forced to either sign to extend Bush tax cuts for the rich or deprive millions of Americans who count on U.E. just before Christmas. Also, a number of mouthy Democrats could have come forward to make the case on corporate media, but they stayed mum.
If we don't begin to acknowledge this well-crafted strategy, we'll never have anything done for us.
In my heart of hearts, I believe that the Democrats are pining for a Romney win. That way, they can "be forced" to vote for more war, more profit for themselves, and more giving LESS to the unwashed masses, keeping the status quo nice and snug right where they like it.
