but that is not a credible accomplishment for a Democratic president, who took office while unemployment was rising. It is not helping average Americans that the rich are becoming richer...while so many struggle to make ends meet in the face of ever lower wages. Corporate profits drive stock prices. When the DOW broke 15,000 I wanted to puke.

It's a massive accomplishment for any President, Democratic or Republican.

You are, of course, entitled to your own opinion...,as I am mine. I think the entire nation would have been better served if less attention had been given to the markets and more to employment and wage increases.

More than half of US workers have no retirement plan at all, yet alone a 401K! Of the less than 50% who do, most do not have enough in them to retire. I think I read $25K is about average!

that it is better that it happened with him in charge than some jerk of a republican. But it should never have happened, nonetheless.

I KNOW, John... RIGHT? I'm about to return my "Foreign born, Socialist, Forced Homosexuality, Atheist, Muslim Terrorist" Membership Card. We Liberals / Progressives have worked so hard to undermine basic American values and lifestyle... how can we keep our turbaned heads up, with our supposed "leader" aiding the capitalist economy like this?

Was unaware that half the value of the stock market was created between the years 1817 and 2009. Almost two centuries of tumultous times. Something to think about.

So much wealth is beyond our comprehension. We also are unaware of our own wealth within these systems, no matter how poor we may consider ourselves in comparison to those we think of as better off. The world is an amazing place and we cannot grasp it all.

Every truth has two faces, every rule two surfaces, every precept two applications.
