President Obama stands with Planned Parenthood!

His comments were excellent on Friday before Planned Parenthood. Even four years plus into this Presidency, it is such a breath of fresh air to have a progressive-minded President who doesn't mind pissing off RW bigots.

"The only person who should get to make decisions about your health is you." - President Obama

Women everywhere thank you, Mr. President.

Obama: 'Planned Parenthood Is Not Going Anywhere'

President Barack Obama became the first sitting president Friday to address Planned Parenthood's national conference, where he reassured the organization and its supporters that he will continue to fight on their behalf.

"When politicians try to turn Planned Parenthood into a punching bag, they're not just talking about you," he told the crowd of 1,200. "They're talking about the millions of women you serve. When they talk about cutting off your funding, let's be clear: They’re talking about telling many of those women, 'You're on your own.' They're talking about shutting those women out at a time when women need it most, shutting off communities that need more health care options for women, not less."

Two Republicans in Congress and multiple GOP-controlled state legislatures have already introduced bills to defund Planned Parenthood this year, but Obama assured the organization's president, Cecile Richards, and the crowd that he will continue to fight those efforts.

And I'll bet he couldn't wait to get out and speak freely about real issues effecting real people after attending the dedication of that damn Bush library!

Our President stands for Women and PP!

Don't mess with women something the GOP just does not get! Not all that surprising, they are at the bottom of the learnig curve!

They will lose at the polls everytime! We are half this countries population, and we are getting stronger everyday!

president ever to speak at Planned Parenthood. The fact that President Obama delivered a fiery speech just shows the respect he has for the organization and for women in general. He knows how important family planning is, how important women's healthcare is and that PP provides so much.

He could have given a nice little speech to cover his butt and gotten the hell out as quickly as he could. That's what many politicians would have done - paid tribute to the women's vote technically but without taking risks. Not President Obama. He put himself on the line again. Just like he did with gun control.

because the President signed a relatively minor issue of approving a band aid on FAA sequestering and virtually no attention to this much greater issue.

Many people were shouting so insistently about using the "bully pulpit" that they didn't hear the President doing just that.

by our supposed allies. When something historic and important goes unheard because a few wanted the president to do engage in a futile exercise.
