Some good old-fashioned TRUTH-TELLING here:

Republicans, Need a Minority To Love? Try President Obama
By: Black Liberal Boomer

If President Obama is unsure what to do with himself once he leaves office, he can always do standup. The man is just funny.

But of all the lines he delivered at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner (and he made sure to get his licks in with a razor), the hands-down keeper was when he suggested that if the Republicans were really sincere about their new outreach efforts to attract more minorities, perhaps they might want to do a “test run” by reaching out to the President of the United States.

No one else could have DELIVERED this SLICE & DICE line of TRUTH, more effectively than President Barack Hussein Obama. NOBODY

I voted for him twice. I do not agree with everything he has done. He is smart, no dummy could deliver a line as well.

In the days of the once-a-week hair do appointment, my Mom (way prettier and classier than Mrs. Newt) - would sleep with her hair wrapped in toilet paper with a clippie holding it in place, especially as it got closer to the end of the week. So Calista doesn't necessarily have to sleep standing up. But given the alternative, maybe it's not such a bad idea.

Obama's delivery at this event was spectacular! Thanks for posting.

And to hear people call him weak and crap....? To me, he is, "the man of steel"!!

A weak person wouldn't be able to show whose ass is grass, like President Obama did last night!

his writers are--they are geniuses. There was a lot of truth in that joke there; many black people haven't been taking too kindly to the treatment that the 1st black president has been getting from his critics on the other side of the aisle, whether it is questioning his place of birth or conspiring to oppose everything he supports, even things that they've once supported (like the health care mandate).
I never would've expected him to go there with that joke, though, because besides the race speech, I rarely see Obama really dive into racial matters like that.
