has me thinking...even if Obama were gay or a Muslim, so what? The people making the biggest deal out of this fail to realize that this country has much bigger issues on the horizon. There are a few things to legitimately criticize him for, but creating myths about his sexual orientation or religion is not one of them. This is why I have zero respect for most of America's self-described "conservatives".

say that about true conservatism. The meaning of conservatism IMO is about conserving things and keeping them as they are. Real conservatives care about conserving certain policies, whether it's the Voting Rights Act, the Big Three, the EPA, Affirmative Action, or the Roe v. Wade ruling. But most of America's so-called "conservatives" want to get rid of these things and essentially go back in time to the policies of the Gilded Age, which is why I refer to them as regressives and reactionaries. In fact, even Robert Reich once called the GOP "the Regressive Party". When you get right down to it, the irony in here is that the typical liberal in America seems to follow the dictionary definition of being a conservative more than the typical self-described conservative.
