Barack Obama

President Obama supports world peace, women's rights, minority rights and economic fairness. That is why I supported him in a nutshell. And I know he won't let me (us) down!

(6,942 posts)..continuing to keep the Patriot act in tact....... Those broken promises or the discussion of breaking them leave me disappointed.
The Party here on the blue west coast are growing more discouraged everyday with him.

Just getting ready to reply when I saw your post. I can't think of another candidate who could have brought such positive change - socially, economically and internationally, in such a short period of time. Very proud of my President , BOG and OFA!

I understand there are those who don't want to follow the rules but that's too bad for them.

Just because of a few unwise decisions, you're automatically disappointed in him?
I just love how people conveniently forget about all the things he has done that have actually benefited the country, and the type of Congress he has been forced to deal with.

(15,703 posts)Socialist presidents in Spain and Greece up and resigned when they got to this particular juncture. Now I see why. BO won't throw in the towel but getting flack from all sides has got to be completely demoralizing and discouraging, so I hope his family friends and faith help him get through it and I hope it ends soon.
p. s. this is basically the point Clinton was at when Ms Lewinsky came his way.

(29,957 posts)I think he's being overly bashed and I feel the best approach is to try to understand why he is supporting it. And to write letters to him and/or congress. Sure everyone has a right to be angry and every political leader will anger or disappoint at some time.
It would be great if throngs of Dems gathered in the streets with "Hands off my Social Security" signs (like the Tea Party with "Hands off my Medicare" . But that's not happening, so what can anyone do?
Instead Dems are attacking Dems on the internet. This is what the Republicans want.
My little rant. Thanks for listening.
