Barack Obama

I have a button for the local AM Repub hate radio station in my area. I only hit it when commercials are on my music stations. It is sickening, but lets me know what is going on. It is nothing but "hate Obama" constantly. I can stand about 10 minutes. Since this election, these people have really gone crazy. Lies, distortions, things taken WAY out of context, etc. I know the hosts are just into it for the money. What is scary are the callers, who actually believe all this BS. What really amazes me is that Hannity gets so many female supporters. I wish I had a line to cut in and say, "Listen, sister - Obama and the Democrats are the only thing that are caring for you and keeping you from being a second class citizen." So sad. Sigh....
Obama has the support of America. These haters need to get over it.

(10,007 posts)I would throw the radio against the wall after about 3 minutes. I think I can handle their obnoxious lies but it's knowing that they are a source of "news" for the woefully ignorant that believe and then spread their crap like it is gospel that chaps my hide. And then, these people go out and vote against their own self-interest. And mine!

(4,309 posts)I think I overestimated my listening time. You can get the gist after 3 minutes. That's about how long before my blood pressure starts to soar and I have to change stations. Yes, it really pisses me off that the brainwashed people who think Fox News is reality are voting and making decisions that effect me. Unfortunately, I have to deal with many of them every day.
I am just so happy that Obama-Biden won this election!

(11,464 posts)Sean to me believes 100% of what he says.
Rush to me, is a 10 time failed DJ on rock stations, who found a niche' and to his credit or discredit, when everyone told him he would fail, that was the one time he succeeded and basically was the one who started the whole rightwing conspiracy Hillary talked about in the early 90s.
Rush if times were different, at that same point, I bet he would be a liberal, taking the opposite view. He is an entertainer and has gotten rich.
Sean (and that irritating whiny voice of his) believes the garbage he spews.
IMHO.
He probably goes home to dinner and his family spends the rest of the night hating President Obama I bet.
In WW2, someone like them would have been fully outed as propaganda artists.
(and the trouble with Sean is he also has his TV show, Rush is only on the radio).
and the only tv person I watch now is Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC.
even the others (Rachel and Ed especially), on MSNBC lost me, thanks to their Fox-worthy remarks after the first debate. Only Al Sharpton called it correctly.

(53,661 posts)I went for a while into internet radio (podcasts and live radio) for a while. I only hooked the teevee and cable back up for the 2009 inauguration after being urged to do so. What a great day.
Since then all internet. Even commercials on cable were pushing the nasty attitude. I had done my time watching these guys back in the nineties and through 2006.
You are doing good to find anything to watch or listen to, and I truly despair over the monopoly that the merchants of hate and despair have achieved. They've created a different reality for many and they may never come back.
