(87,272 posts)and I am still pondering that question myself.
It seems we have some new kind of court system here. They charge The President with a Crime, however he is not even given a trial here. He is found guilty, then sentenced.
This all happens BEFORE the President has even acted upon the issues!
Sad really.
However, I for one have his back. As I know the BOG does!

Thanks for the pictures, NYC_SKP! I just love PBO pics!

(53,661 posts)The energy is exactly same. Whether they were ever Democrats or voted for Obama or other Democrats, I doubt. They don't need or want what most people who voted for Obama needed or wanted. They have no gratitude for anything they've ever recieved (I'm not talking about Obama) from anyone and no humility. They want this torn down for something else. To me they're trolls, no matter what they label themselves as. When it gets down to it, they hate all the things we need and want, they look down on us as something to spit on. Anyway, I can see why people left.

(87,272 posts)I was reading DU back then...never joined, until recently. Even with the bad, I still see the good here too. Some really Great People, that believe as I do. Blind supporters...no we are not.
Change will never happen in the blink of an eye. We know that, and are patient. Others seem to want everything yesterday. Wise people know that we will never get it all. However we can change things, we can crack the foundations...cracks will get bigger then break away. It takes time. I have the patience to see these things through.
Have I felt like leaving, sure just this morning. However I plan to stay for now and fight tooth and nail for what I believe in. That would be, This President and Vice President. They are the best thing that has ever happened to this Country!

(53,661 posts)Now it's pretty much like where I left - that was founded just before DU was - except DU has turned more hurtful than the other places ever were.
Some old time DUers that don't post here anymore, only lurk, have seen my posts and thanked me. It's great to have you and a few others to say hello to here.

(62,683 posts)they hate. They behave like fourth graders "tattling" on people with whom they don't agree. It's so sad. DU used to be my refuge, now I'm afraid to post much of the time. It's like it's censored.
freshwest
(53,661 posts)That's what most members want DU to be. DU2 was much more open minded.

(87,272 posts)he is not the President there....he's a dad. They are just hanging on him, and he loves it. It shows! You are so very right, you get what you give.

Oh yeah, for this President!

(53,587 posts)He loves President Obama. Last year he had to do an oral report on a famous American. He chose President Obama (he was the only kid that did--we live in very red Orange County, CA). Each kid was also supposed to make a poster of that person to hold while giving the report. My son came up with the idea to use a flag as a background and made this poster:
Yup, he got an A+

(53,587 posts)He saw that as Obama being a hero to his daughter. Kids know what's important!
His theme was Obama was a hero to the American people and his own family. The two things he mentioned for the American people were healthcare for kids and saving the American car companies (my son wants to drive a Jeep someday!).

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

(53,661 posts)I am, in my own way, ruthlessly logical and given to analyzing relative strengths and history. And I feel wanting, and many other things these last few days as this has sunk in.
No wonder Klayman picked November 17th as the day of chaos in D.C. That's when the last SS checks will sent out with the default. And they will keep up the pain, hoping for several things.
One, Obama will compromise to save lives. Two, that if he does or does not, they will win, and he will be blamed. Three, that they will make such a killing off the disruption of the social fabric that the 2014 elections will be over before they begin, with mass disruption of people put out of their residences as the states will not be able to take care of them. Four, martial law.
Okay, I must stop because we need to be positive. But I'd rather talk about it here or in messages than in GD.
This is very serious to so many people I know on fixed incomes, living month to month. Some have posted their fears on a thread that is in the Greatest list right now.
Sorry again, should I edit or delete?
Look at that little dimpled devil; you'd think he was gonna grow up to be kinda thick in stature--who knew he'd start getting long and lean as he grew!
He's got the same ready smile as he did when he was a child, though!
