Barack Obama
Related: About this forumAnyone else have plans for celebrating inauguration day, January 21, 2013?
I live in Maryland so I'm lucky enough to attend the festivities in person with some friends.
Appropriately, the very next day, January, 22, 2013, is the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.
Women did "remember in November" and have never had a stronger advocate in the White House, IMO.

(4,309 posts)with my daughter who had voted for the first time in her life! It was an awesome experience. I was so glad to be there in person saying bye-bye to Bush, Inc. and celebrating the new President. Barrack Obama is a two-term President! Gotta love that!

(4,309 posts)I just think it is scary that Mitt and Ryan got as many votes as they did! What are some people thinking? ARE they thinking? I really didn't think the Republicans could do any worse than McSame and crazy Palin in '08 but they outdid themselves this year. I really can't stand that big business, sexist, racist, militaristic mentality that republicans seem to represent. It is horrible! They seem to be self-destructing, which is a wonderful thing for this country.
